Please read these Expatlang Terms of Service carefully before using the Website and/or Services. Access and use of the Service is subject to the following Terms and Conditions of Service (“Terms and Conditions”). By accessing or using any part of the Service, you represent that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions including any future modifications.
You may be referred to in these Expatlang Terms as “you” or “your” or may be referred to specifically in your applicable role as a Company or an Authorized User (each as defined below). If you are entering into this Expatlang Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity (such company or legal entity, the “Company“), these Expatlang Terms shall be a binding agreement between Expatlang and the Company that you represent, and that you have the authority to bind such Company, its users, and its affiliates to this Expatlang Terms. In that case, the terms “you” or “your” shall also refer to such entity, its users, and its affiliates, as applicable. If you do not have such authority, or if you do not agree with these Expatlang Terms, you may not use the Service. If you are entering into this Expatlang Terms as an individual and not on behalf of a company or other legal entity, this Expatlang Terms shall be a binding agreement between Expatlang and you personally. You acknowledge that these Expatlang Terms are a contract between you and Expatlang, albeit electronic, and are not physically signed by you and Expatlang, and it governs your use of the Service.

“Expatlang” a company owned by his administrator
“Expatlang website” all the domain name owned by his administrator
“Expatlang Content” means any content that Expatlang creates and makes available in connection with the Expatlang values, including proprietary Expatlang content and any content licensed or authorized for use by or through Expatlang from a third party, but excluding Member Content.
“Expatlang Product” means the Application(s) of “Expatlang“, the Site “www.expatlang.com” and any website operated by Expatlang and his administrator.
“Sites” means Expatlang’s websites, including but not limited to www.expatlang.com
“Student” means a Member that purchases Teacher Services.
“Teacher” means a Member that offers and delivers Teacher Services.
“Teacher Services” means all services delivered by Teachers as described in the Teacher Policy, including but not limited to paid lessons, packages and other services rendered where Expatlang Credits (as defined in the Refund and Payment Policy) are exchanged.
- Registration
You understand and agree that Expatlang is not a party to any agreements entered into between Students and Teachers or between Members. Expatlang has no control over the conduct of Students, Teachers, Members or other users of the Expatlang services or over any services provided by Teachers or other Members, and disclaims all liability in this regard to the maximum extent permitted by law.
- Modification
Expatlang reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify the Expatlang website and to modify these Expatlang Terms, at any time and without prior notice. If we modify these Expatlang Terms, we will either post the modification on the Sites and the Applications or otherwise provide you with notice of the modification. We will also update the “Last Updated” date at the top of these Expatlang Terms. By continuing to access or use the Expatlang services after we have posted a modification on the Sites and the Applications or have provided you with notice of a modification, you are indicating that you agree to be bound by the modified Expatlang Terms. If the modified Expatlang Terms are not acceptable to you, your only recourse is to cease using the Expatlang services.
- Eligibility
The Expatlang services are available only to, and may only be used by, individuals who are 18 years and older who can form legally binding contracts under applicable law. Individuals under the age of 18 can use our Services only in conjunction with and under the supervision of a Parent. In this case, the Parent is responsible for all activities of the Student.
- Expatlang Services
Expatlang maintains this Website as a service to the user community that visits the Website subject to these Terms. You are responsible for obtaining and paying for any equipment and Internet service necessary to accessing our Services. We may alter, suspend, or discontinue this Website or the Services in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, without notice. The Services may also periodically become unavailable due to maintenance or malfunction of computer equipment or for other reasons. We may provide access to third party services and products from time to time or to our own products or Services. You acknowledge that the Website and any mobile applications are evolving and that the form and nature of the Website or mobile applications, including the Services, may change from time to time without notice to you.
- Expatlang Account
Your Expatlang Account is for personal, non-commercial use only, provided that, if you are creating an Expatlang Account on behalf of a Company, you may authorize their Employees to use the Expatlang Platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current and complete.
In addition, to create an Expatlang Account, Expatlang may require you to select a username and password. You acknowledge that you shall be responsible for ensuring that any username you select does not infringe any third-party rights and is not otherwise unlawful.
You agree to notify Expatlang immediately of any unauthorized use of your Expatlang Account. We reserve the right to close your Expatlang Account at any time if you violate these Expatlang Terms or if we otherwise have a legitimate interest to do so, such as complying with a legal or regulatory obligation.
- Ownership
All content made available through Expatlang website and pages on the social media are either owned by Expatlang or Expatlang’s licensors or is licensed to Expatlang and Expatlang’s licensors pursuant to Section 8 (Member Content). As between you and Expatlang, you own your Member Content. We own the Expatlang Content, including but not limited to visual interfaces, interactive features, graphics, design, our compilation of Member Content, computer code, products, software, aggregate Member review ratings, and all other elements and components of the Expatlang website excluding Member Content. Except as expressly and unambiguously provided herein, we do not grant you any express or implied rights, and all rights in and to the Expatlang website and the Expatlang Content are retained by Expatlang.
- Member Content
We may, in our sole discretion, permit you to post, upload, publish, submit, store or transmit your Member Content. By making available any Member Content on or through the Expatlang Platform, you hereby grant to Expatlang a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual (or for the term of the protection), non-exclusive, transferable, royalty-free license, with the right to sublicense, to use, view, copy, adapt, modify, distribute, license, sell, transfer, publicly display, publicly perform, transmit, stream, broadcast, access, view, and otherwise exploit such Member Content on, though, by means of, or to promote or market Expatlang. Expatlang does not claim any ownership rights in any Member Content. You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for all Member Content that you make available. If you are a Teacher, you may share your Member Content with your Students. Expatlang respects copyright law and expects its Members to do the same. If you believe that any content on the Expatlang website infringes copyrights you own, please notify us.
- Restrictions
We are under no obligation to enforce the Expatlang Terms on your behalf against another Member. While we encourage you to let us know if you believe another Member has violated the Expatlang Terms, we reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action at our sole discretion.
- Links
The Expatlang website may contain links to third-party websites or resources. You acknowledge and agree that Expatlang is not responsible or liable for: (i) the availability or accuracy of such websites or resources; or (ii) the content, products, or services on or available from such websites or resources. Links to such websites or resources do not imply any endorsement by Expatlang of such websites or resources or the content, products, or services available from such websites or resources. You acknowledge sole responsibility for and assume all risk arising from your use of any such websites or resources or the content, products or services on or available from such websites or resources.
- Limits
While using the Services, you agree that you will:
- Comply with all applicable laws, including, without limitation, privacy laws, intellectual property laws, anti-spam laws, tax laws etc.;
- Provide accurate information to us and keep it updated;
- Use the Services and Website in a manner that is lawful, relevant and proper to the applicable laws.
- Links to third-party websites
The Website may contain links to non-EXPATLANG websites. These links are provided to You as a convenience and/or ancillary for the Services use, and EXPATLANG is not responsible for the content of any linked website. Any non-EXPATLANG website accessed from the Services is independent from EXPATLANG, and EXPATLANG has no control over the content of that website. In addition, a link to any non-EXPATLANG website does not imply that EXPATLANG endorses or accepts any responsibility for the content or use of such website. Use of any third-party website is subject to its terms of service and privacy policy. We request that our Users exercise caution and good judgment when using third-party websites.
- Suspension, Termination or Cancellation
We reserve the right to stop making available any one or more of the Expatlang services, at any time, whether on a temporary or permanent basis and without any liability, compensation, refunds or other compensatory benefits to you.
Even after your right to use the Services is terminated or suspended, these Terms will remain enforceable against you.
- Entire Agreement
Except as they may be supplemented by additional Expatlang policies, guidelines, standards, or terms for a specific product, feature, service or offering, these Expatlang Terms together with the Expatlang Policies constitute the entire and exclusive understanding and agreement between Expatlang and you pertaining to the subject matter hereof, and supersede any and all prior oral or written understandings or agreements between Expatlang and you.
- Notices
All notices to Expatlang intended to have a legal effect concerning these Expatlang Terms must be in writing and delivered either in person or by a means evidenced by a delivery receipt, to the following address:

- Language
This agreement was originally written in English (US). To the extent any translated version of this agreement conflicts with the English version, the English version controls.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of France.
